What to Expect
Competition season runs March to May with 4 competitions across Ontario. Full attendance is mandatory.
📅 Schedule & Dates
- 4 competitions from March to May
- Locations include Hamilton, Niagara Falls, Guelph, Brantford & more
- Competition dates shared by November
- Detailed schedules arrive 2–3 weeks before each event
- Competitions run full days — 8am to 10pm, Thursday to Sunday
- Rarely cancelled, even in bad weather — plan ahead
✅ Commitments
- Weekly scheduled classes and rehearsals
- Team stage rehearsal prior to each competition
- Full attendance is mandatory — no schedule accommodations
- Classes continue after competitions to prepare for year-end recital
- Year-end recital attendance is also mandatory
- Families responsible for all travel and accommodation costs
Beyond Tuition
In addition to tuition and costume fees, please plan for the following expenses. Contact us for pricing details.
Competition Team Fee
There is an annual competition team fee (varies by program level) that covers off-site competition expenses, team photoshoot, stage rehearsal, and guest teachers throughout the year.
Entry Fees
There is a per-dance entry fee charged per competition. These are billed in November once the competition schedule is confirmed.
Hair & Makeup Kit
Each dancer is required to have their own hair and makeup kit for competitions. Specific requirements will be shared by the studio.
Shoes & Tights
Specific shoes and tights may be required per dance style. Details will be provided once placements are confirmed.
Attendance & Parent Responsibilities
Joining our competitive team is a full commitment — for your dancer and your family.
📅 Attendance Policy
- Mandatory attendance at all classes, competitions, stage rehearsals & year-end show
- Absences for mandatory school events must be approved in advance
- Absences for vacations, parties, or personal priorities are not permitted
- Repeated absences may lead to removal from choreography, competition, or the program
- New students begin on a 6-week trial basis
👨👩👧 Parent Responsibilities
- Ensure your dancer is on time and fully prepared for every class
- Foster a positive attitude and team-first mindset at home
- Support staff, policies, and studio decisions
- Direct serious concerns directly to the office
- Avoid negative comments or public complaints — these affect the entire team
- Stay informed via email — keep your contact info current
If you commit to this program, you commit to all policies and scheduled events. Personal preferences, missed rehearsals, or absences cannot override team requirements. We communicate primarily via email — keep your contact information current and mark all dates on your calendar as soon as they are shared.
